On August 19, 2018, Cеститка, in cooperation with Institute Creative Macedonia, supported by Radio Fortuna, for the second time organized a bazaar for handicrafts, in order to introduce our citizens to the artisans and encourage the creativity of the smallest visitors. An evening of memory, filled with lots of fun, sharing experiences and knowledge among craftsmen, selling their products and promoting them.
A rich program, whose different parts corresponded to all ages. Over 50 participants exhibited and sold their products, chatting with visitors and explaining their passion for what they were doing, the smallest enjoyed the teater play Zdravko Zabravko, performed by Theater Art Veni Vidi, they managed to be enchanted by the fantastic tricks of the magician Christian, all this while the band DuoDis did the atmosphere even cheerful until the late hours. All visitors were part of a prize game, and the lucky winners were:
Cake – Natasha Kika
A package of dairy products – Jana Kotorchevska
Dinner – Gradimir Čalevski
Weekend for two – Kala
But all this would not have been complete if we did not show it and our humane side, the artisans and visitors unselfishly donated for the treatment of Joco Blazezki and Simona Nikolova.
Such events represent a way and an opportunity to promote the contemporary artistic expression portrayed in handmade works, as well as bringing visitors closer to creative modern techniques and ways of making.
New and creative works, various products and motifs such as filigree, wood products, straw, knitwear, textiles, jewelry, embroidery, felt, painting, glass products, etc. were presented. Craftsmen need to be paid much more attention, because apart from being the only way to earn them a lot, they represent creativity from our own country that they represent outside our borders.
We wish to thank a lot to the participants who were part of this bazaar and all the visitors who support such events!
